Working principle of electromagnetic water pump system

Electromagnetic pump is a kind of liquid pump designed with electromagnetic field principle. The electromagnetic pump is similar to the ordinary solenoid valve. It uses alternating current as the working power. The current forms an alternating fixed magnetic field through the electromagnetic winding, which interacts with the movable pump body to drive the pump body to vibrate and drive the liquid output.

The electromagnetic pump can be divided into AC pump and DC pump according to the form of power supply; According to the way of current feeding in liquid metal, it can be divided into conductive electromagnetic pump and inductive electromagnetic pump; According to different structures, it can be divided into planar pump and cylindrical pump. In the conductive pump, the current is directly transmitted to the liquid metal by the external power through the electrodes on both sides of the pump ditch; In the induction pump, the current is induced by the alternating magnetic field.

 

The electromagnetic pump has no rotating parts, simple structure, good sealing and reliable operation, so it is used to transport some toxic heavy metals, such as mercury, lead, etc. in the chemical and printing industries; In the atomic power industry, it is used to transport metals with particularly active chemical properties, such as sodium, potassium, sodium potassium alloys; It can be used as a quantitative pump for active metals such as aluminum and magnesium in casting enterprises, but now it is mainly used by large enterprises such as military industry.
